Who IS Amy?

A well-traveled veteran of sports radio and television, Amy is the host of CBS Sports Radio’s late-night program After Hours with Amy Lawrence. The show can be heard weekdays from 2-6am ET (11p PT) on North America’s largest 24/7 major-market radio network. Listeners also tune in via SiriusXM 158 and with a variety of digital options like the CBS Sports app and audacy.com

Prior to joining CBS in January 2013, Amy spent 9 years at ESPN Radio where she was the only regular female host. Local radio stops include Providence, RI; Lebanon, NH; Syracuse and Rochester, NY; and Oklahoma City where she was the first female in state history to pilot her own sports radio talk show.  Amy has handled basketball play-by-play and color duties for various radio and TV outlets over the past 25 years, and she served as the voice of University of Hartford women’s hoop for six seasons (2008-2014). She began working with Columbia Women’s Basketball on TV and radio in winter of 2018; and she recently called her first two games on the Westwood One Radio Network, including an NCAA Tournament Women’s Regional Final.

Amy graduated from Messiah College with bachelor’s degrees in Communications & Accounting before earning her master’s in TV & Radio from Syracuse University.  She is a native of Concord, NH, and currently resides in New Jersey.

AMY, MY GOAL EVERY DAY IS TO GET UP AND LEAVE FOR WORK BEFORE YOUR SHOW ENDS. SOMEHOW, EVERYTHING THAT DAY GOES MUCH SMOOTHER (CAN’T EXPLAIN IT).
THAT EXCITEMENT IS BLOWN TO “YOU KNOW WHERE” WHEN I HEAR SOME IDIOT SCREAMING AND CALLING OTHER IDIOTS, “IDIOTS”.
WHAT I NEED IS A SCHEDULE OF WHEN YOU ARE OFF
AND I WILL JUST SLEEP IN !!……. WIN, WIN FOR BOTH OF US, DON’T YOU THINK. I FEEL SURE I AM NOT ALONE ON THIS MATTER.
THANKS FOR YOUR SHOW …..AND ESPECIALLY NOT SCREAMING THE SAME WORDS ON THE SAME TOPIC OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
LOVE YOUR SHOW (OBVIOUSLY). AND YES MAM, JUST TEASING ABOUT GETTING A SCHEDULE.

  2. I would give up my left nut to be an internet sensation! Also to meet miss Amy Lawrence
